every now and then i try different cool headers for my blog (designed by yours truly) the past to headers had been shot at the beach, doing the whole balloon thing, and this time i had a little fun with it, my fav style when designing is collage style, so i cut out a couple of characters and finds and played around.i am also in the process of revamping my blog, so don't be alarmed when you log on and there are problems, it will soon be under construction. don't be shy to tell me what you think of the new header!
i must admit, i am rarely a fan of what Cameron chooses to put on. over the years there have been few occasions where i even take notice of what she wears, but at paris fashion week she knocked it out of the park for me. She donned girly frocks, and she did it right.
the first one which is my favorite, she wore to watch the Valentino show. the detail is simply STUN-NING!! to say the least, and the off white colour looks perfect on her.now i know this might be to early of a call, but i am calling this her best look of the year.
The second look she wore to the Dior show, also very girly and a little more understated than the first one, but she also looks beautiful in it. If you know me, you know i love polka dots!!
one thing i love seeing are people who are bold enough to take two totally different prints and make them work within one look, i call it clashing prints. I love it so much, i always look for ways to do it. fashion is about sometimes taking risks, and not looking back. you wont always get it right, who does? i certainly don't always, but i try be memorable
i am wearing: alpine print tights (melts) | crop top (mr price) | african print turban (fabric store) | ankle boots (unknown boutique) | white sunnies (spitfire)
when i found these pretty, perfectly groomed trees while driving around the other day, i had to take pics. and the more i took pics the more the whole thing reminded me of alice in wonderland.. love these shots
remember me going on about personalizing your shorts, well i did just that with the ones i am wearing (which were originally jeans) i decided to give them a distressed feel, so i grated them, YES... you heard right, grated them. I took a grater and ran them across the denims and voila!
i am wearing: printed jumpsuit (thrift) | DIY distressed shorts | sheer black stockings | brogue boots (mr price
im really into personalizing your shorts this season, its easy, you can do it at home, the other day i cut a pair of jeans that i do not wear anymore into shorts and i gave it my own personal touch by grating them, YES... grating them. I simply took a grater and started running my denims across it to create a distressed look. Next i am definitely adding the american flag on a pair, then an african print. I will try document my DIY attempts and share them with you all
i swooned when i came across this lookbook from nasty girl which is appropriately titled "american girl". its too cool and makes me obsess even more over this american flag print trend. YES! i am one of those, those some frown upon when it comes to following a good trend. the difference with me though is that i wear it for me, and put my own twist when it comes to trends, i don't follow all of them, but when that special one comes along i hang on to it tightly. i do hope though that this trend is not over done, nothing hurts me more than that
