Thunder in my heart

I am wearing a dress a friend of mine gave me, its a polka dot off the shoulder dress if you want or drapes in the front if you want! i love how versatile it is. its layered at the bottom, almost like a ballerina tutu. i wear it with leggings, stockings or shorts coz it is way to short on me!!

Alexander McQueen vs Gert-Johan Coetzee

Ok so i know Alexander McQueen is the 2pac of fashion!! his work lives on even after his passing, to me he is Royalty and no one can touch him!!

Anne Hathaway is wearing his design at the one day premier and this dress is STUN-NING!!! The detail is amazing

every South African should already know Gert-Johan Coetzee.and here Kourtney Kardashian is wearing him to one of her many red carpet events.

i know this dress is old news, but when i saw Alexander McQueens design it immediately reminded me of Gert Johan Coetzee. Now i know they are completely different but the detailing is almost of the same idea except Alexanders is much more intricate

No?

follow up to the fashionista Feature: Gugu duma

I got so much feedback on this specific feature, and if you look at my most popular posts feature on my blog, this one is tops!! Thank you to all who read it, commented, passed it on, much appreciated!!!

I will be doing another feature soon on anyone i think has great style! (since this one was such a hit)

i also got some people asking for a directory on where to find these thrift stores in Pretoria, and i did my best to find out for you guys. I asked Gugu where she shops, and this is what she said.

"Every Sunday there is a lovely market in Hatfield, the parking lot of Hatfield Plaza is transformed, and its such an awesome little market. the market near church square in PTA central is also awesome... corner Lynwood and Louis Botha is where i buy most of my vintage stuff. Its a tent with surrounding stores and little restaurants for when you get tired and thirsty you get EVERYTHING there. Also Hope Charity shop in Melville, opposite cats pyjamas, by cool runnings (not sure of the street names)"

Hope this was helpful guys

BIG THANKS to Gugu, she has been a champion!!! LOVE YOU TONS

My New Hair

This past weekend I got  a new look. I have been meaning to get braids done for a while, but I've just been too lazy because it takes too long. I'm glad i finally got them done!

Think Brandy, Think Janet Jackson, and of cause Solange Knowles

I couldn't go as long as them, too much effort for me, but I'm happy with my length

Have a look

Janet jackson was the queen of braids

and brandy's signature braids were much thinner

This is Solange trying out this old school trend!!

I adore how she styled it here!!

I love that i can be creative with them and tie them up into so many different looks

Let me know if you love.. or think its too much for you

I of cause Love! why else would it be on my blog??

Ever heard of Boxing kitten?? They are like the "it" clothing line at the moment!! They specialize in tribal print!! and celebrities like Solange and Beyonce Knowles, kelis, Erykah Badu are on this trend like nobody's business!!!
